Lomatium latilobum

Almost always found on sandstone or sandstone derived soils but... I was looking for ferns in some Precambrian granite when I came across a Lomatium latilobum specimen. The granite outcrop was lying below much younger sandstone cliffs. There is a L. latilobum site in sandstone cliffs about 300 meters to the west which may have been the seed source for my plant.
